How often should I relax my hair?
Use a relaxer retouch application every six/eight weeks. The frequency depends on the texture and growth rate of your hair.

What relaxer strength should I buy?
Selecting the appropriate relaxer strength is very important. There are three hair textures: fine; medium; and coarse. You really must use the correct relaxer strength. Please refer to the product's instruction sheet carefully to avoid hair breakage or hair loss.
Why must I protect hair that was previously relaxed?
Once you have adequately relaxed any portion of the hair, it is then chemically processed. Exposing it to the relaxer again increases the chances of over processing and possible hair damage.
What about applying a relaxer after a permanent hair color has been used?
A relaxer should be applied no sooner than two weeks before or after a permanent hair color application. Ffollow the instructions carefully.
What should I do to help prevent hair breakage?
Deep conditioning every two weeks and with daily care and maintenance will help.
Cornrow Styling
Cornrows are a traditional hair grooming style of African origin where the hair is tightly braided very close to the scalp, using an underhand, upward motion to produce a continuous, raised row.
This technique is rather similar to producing a French braid, which is braided using an overhand, or inward, motion, and resulting in a flat braid. Cornrows can be formed, as the name implies, in simple, straight lines; or, in complicated geometric or curvilinear designs.
Often favoured for their easy maintenance, cornrows can be left in for weekson end simply by carefully washing the hair using a stocking cap or hair net and then regularly oiling the scalp and hair. Corn rowed hairstyles are often adorned with beads or cowry shells, in the African tradition.

A simple guide
Each hair on your body grows from its own individual hair follicle. Inside the follicle, new hair cells form at the root of the hair shaft. As the cells form, they push older cells out of the follicle. As they are pushed out, the cells die and become the hair we see.
Each follicle will make new cells for a period of time depending on where it is on your body — the growth phase. It will then stop for a while (this rest phase is why it seems that our hair grows too slow at times.
When the hair follicle enters this "rest" phase, the hair shaft breaks, so the existing hair falls out and a new hair takes its place. Therefore, the length of time that the hair is able to spend growing during the growth phase controls the maximum length of the hair.
The hair follicles on your head are programmed to let hair grow for years at a time, so the hair can grow very long.
